Reward if found X3 Lost boy, lost dog, lost bike, lost cat every corner stapled to keep the paper flat This splintered old pole has tasted scraps of hope and efforts wasted never has it ever learned of vanished things being returned Reward if found.... A final sun-faded flake falls without pity on the cement footprints of a long gone kitty Air eats away at the rusty tack always remember somebody wanted you back Reward if Found

about

3 Versions of the song that kept me up for months, puzzling about the meaning of these lost dog, cat, bike, boy posters that popped up everywhere in seattle, round the end of summer 2022. It's meant many things to many people, but after about a year of mystery I learned it was an excerpt from the novel The Golden Basement by David Norman Lewis, a Seattle artist, choosing a mysterious guerilla street art marketing technique over stale social media overposting. I read the book and say you should to if you were as affected by the posters as I was, but also I could understand if you wanted to keep the meaning a mystery, as one's personal meaning can mean a lot to a person. I played the song at shows and on the streets for a long time before learning it's origin, I wanted to release it immediately but wanted to wait for permission from the artist. Time went by and life/my insane membrane prevented me from releasing it immediately after gaining David's blessing, but now I'm in a place where I'm ready to just release everything, and not get perfectionist about anything, so here ya go, three versions of Lost Song, Or Gold Basement, or Reward if Found, or whatever title for the piece rings true to you. I still don't know what I prefer to call it. But whatever you call it, I hope you call
